ENEFEN Energy Efficiency Engineering Ltd. has offices in North Saanich, BC, and Leduc, Alberta, and is registered as a consulting engineering firm in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. We offer internationally consulting services related to process combustion and heat transfer technologies, combustion controls, thermal energy efficiency, and the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
The mission of ENEFEN is to improve the safety and efficiency of fired appliances and reduce harmful emissions through high quality inspections, evaluations, and designs.
Based on a combined 70 years of experience ENEFEN specializes in energy efficiency assessments of industrial processes, process combustion system engineering and evaluation, thermal energy studies, direct and indirect heat and mass transfer systems, submerged combustion, thermal oxidation, combustion controls and burner management systems (BMS), process controls, fuel trains and pressure let-down systems, emissions measurement and analysis, gas safety legislation (CSA B149 and NFPA 85 based), combustion system standards development, and combustion technology training.
In the past nine years ENEFEN has concentrated on the development of energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and safe combustion solutions for the Canadian upstream oil and gas industry. During this time ENEFEN has been instrumental in the development of industry standards related to the design, control, maintenance, and inspection of gas-fired equipment.
ENEFEN is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as the first in Canada Inspection Body able to conduct engineered gas fired appliance Field Approvals. This accreditation allows ENEFEN to expand its business to all industrial combustion applications across Canada.
